Borno state governor, Babagana Zulum has said that he will be more careful after passing through back to back attacks recently from insurgents.
Governor Zulum made this known after receiving members of the National Assembly from Borno state, who paid him a visit to sympathize with him over the recent attacks on the governor’s convoy.
The governor appreciated the members for their concern and the visit. He also added that even though the attacks were geared towards distracting him, he was not ready to stop and won’t be discouraged from bringing peace to the troubled state.
Governor Zulum said:
“The situation, of course, is obnoxious and unlikely to remain unchanged except drastic actions is taken; otherwise the insurgency will take over Maiduguri.”
Recall that governor Zulum’s convoy was attacked recently, an attack which claimed the lives of several security details attached to the governor.
