Presidency Finally Breaks Silence on #EndSars Protest

The Presidency has said that President Muhammadu Buhari has been briefed on the situation of things relating the the EndSars protest.

This was disclosed by a media aide to the president, Bashir Ahmad, on Friday, 9th October as part of reactions to the protests.

Ahmad said that president Buhari was briefed by the Inspector general of Police, Adamu on Thursday.

According to Bashir Ahmad, President Buhari is to issue directives to the police on what to do regarding the matter.

He also stated that whatever directives and steps taken as directed, will be in the interest of Nigerians.

According to Ahmad :
“Good people of Nigeria have every right to protest the #PoliceBrutality or anything they see is not going on well. “The President was briefed yesterday by the IG of Police, I am very sure action will be taken and in the best interest of Nigerians.”

The protests are coming as a result of a long period of unjust harassment and torture by SARS operatives.

The protest has since gained acceptance as celebrities, mothers and even politicians have voiced out in support of the scrapping of the SARS outfit of the police force.
